Miss The Interaction

So while I really like posting my stories to A03, I do miss the interaction of the old days with LJ. On A03 I can't just put out a friendly little post to let folks know the status of where I'm between updates.
I also have lost touch with how people even rec or find communities anymore. I suppose some of that is on twitter. LOL Boy do I feel old school. Maybe this is what ham radio operators feel like in the age of smart phones?
I feel like I should be playing Space Oddity in the background.
Anyway, while I don't feel right about posting on LJ anymore, I thought I'd give dreamwidth a try again. I could post links to my stories to AO3 while just giving quick shout outs on the process.

Date: 2019-03-15 12:34 pm (UTC)I miss the interaction, too. Almost all I see nowadays is AO3 notifications other than Rough Trade. There's a bit on LJ and here, but almost no personal stuff; just communities.
Hey you!
Date: 2019-03-16 04:02 am (UTC)I haven't the faintest idea of how to get involved on communities here. Not even sure what is active.
Anyway, I hope you are doing well.
AS for LJ I'm seriously considering just shutting my account down there given the changes over there. It's just hard you know?
Please keep in touch.

Re: Hey you!
Date: 2019-03-16 01:57 pm (UTC)Community-wise, I mostly follow Rough Trade (they've got a challenge in April so it's busy over there). Story_works covers a lot of comms.
I'm reading SGA and a bit of NCIS. Jilly James, Keira Marcos, BindingDiva for authors. I'm, not a Harry Potter fan, so that limits me.
I check in with LJ every few days, but mostly the old "looking for" comms. Those bring up oldies that I'm always ready to re-read.
It's good to know you're still alive and writing! Take care!
