All,

Got a bit of bad news from my Aunt on Sunday that knocked me for a loop. Not a death in the family but something that has us kind of reeling and holding our breath until more definitive word comes back in January. It hit me hard an stirred up a lot of painful memories. Was just a bad day that required lots of kitty therapy and hand holding with my sweetie.

I start my travels for work tomorrow.

My muse is itching to get back to Sneer (I do have about 4 pages done of chap 45). My hope is to work on it tomorrow night at the hotel room. We'll see. I  haven't abandoned you all. :) She also wants me to start posting the few chapters of a story I started back in Sep/Oct called Desert Ice. :) We'll see though.

Writing gives me such joy and makes me smile. Believe it or not...I miss weaving the story as much as some of you miss reading it. :)

sr

PS Sneer does have a definitive end point. It always has. My sweetie knows...and it's written down in my plot points. Just wanted to put that out there...cuz I know the story is very long as it its..and there is still more to tell. Just wanted to reassure folks that this journey does have a destination and is not just an endless road trip. :) My philosophy of writing is to not start writing without at least a minimum of plot point A and plot point Z....the rest I can fudge from time to time..but I must always know where I'm going when I start.

Sorry to hear about bad news. It's important to remember that life goes on and we can only do so much, there are circumstances beyond our conrol. But you have your family around, and your wonderful art to support you.
I am so happy to learn that the story will go on for a long time - I never want it to end, even though it must have an ending. I am quite addicted to it, so good date with your Muse!

*grumble* Our Uncle, who lived 5 minutes' walk away, just passed on Friday, so I know what you mean... *sigh* It's all good - he lived a long, active, full life, and his sons got to say goodbye, but we'll miss him. So, I know how RL can really knock you for a loop!

For my part, Sneer can be as long as you like: I've been enjoying it immensely, and it's provided many hours of entertainment and escape from stress. As for Desert Ice [happy bounce] eagerly waiting for it [and you know why, LOL]

SR, don't forget this is the "crazy season." Filled with joy and excitement and fun, yes, but even those can add stress. Don't worry too much about us - your loyal fans will hang in there - but remember that your family and life come before us. Priorities and all that, you know ;-)

OK, I'll stop being all grown-up and mature... and get back to my current lurk persona.

After a little *grumble, clamor, meeeOW!* of course...

kittigrins and cat-snuggles to you and yours!
:D

I've liked all your stories, and I'll read the upcoming chapters of Sneer, whether you do them once a week or twice a year. No worries, mate!

Dear Stillrose, hope everything is going well, and you found strength and support from your near and dear to cope with the bad news you have received recently. Let the coming holiday season bring you joy and good news only! Looking forward to reading next chapters of the wonderful story you are weaving (which, I most fervently hope, is still far from the end, because I never want it to end...). All the best from your faithful fan.
