Oh, Stillrose, this is painful. But so necessary - both to keep them safe, and because, somehow, it is right. Does that make sense? In canon, the getting of a soul was not a 'get out of gaol free' card, both Angel and Spike had to suffer, in their souled form. But this is still painful. I hope the journey to the Dale is quick. It can't be quick enough, except for the fear of what is waiting there. This is still a brilliant story and I am still loving it.
I loved Xander's thoughts about is uniform and hair - Gonna let Spike gloat and stroke this shaggy mop to his arrogant heart’s content once we’re safely together again. *sigh* And I have a serious dislike for Riley - “No, Harris,” Riley corrected, “Payback’s a virgin…a bitch is too easy.” That is just so crude, it's disgusting.
