Angst, yes, but it's not realistic to keep up the wailing about being a Biogen for too long. He is capable of understanding why it was necessary; he needs to communicate with his new family more about his reasons for regretting the change, such as losing his loved ones, etc. Not just striking out in anger. He just plain needs to talk to them about himself more. Xander's a fighter, but he's not stupid (in spite of what he thinks).
Now, getting pissed because he wasn't asked first, or was lied to, or separated from his lover...those are different issues!
I think Angel and maybe the others need to watch that torture video, so they can seem some of what they're dealing with. They need to see him as more than an inconvenience or as Spike's lover. Faith knows him, and Wes to some small extent; but nobody knows him well.
I'm worried about that mission Spike was sent on...of course.
