Oh, Stillrose, this is painful. But so necessary - both to keep them safe, and because, somehow, it is right. Does that make sense? In canon, the getting of a soul was not a 'get out of gaol free' card, both Angel and Spike had to suffer, in their souled form.
But this is still painful. I hope the journey to the Dale is quick. It can't be quick enough, except for the fear of what is waiting there.
This is still a brilliant story and I am still loving it.
